Coaching
for traumatic events
In the case of a major life event, sharing your experiences, your worries or emotions, especially if this is with someone who has gone through a similar event, can relieve the burden and open up new prospects. Together, we can find your inner strength again. It is part of self-care that, in fact, is much needed, as soon as the time is right for it.
Personal Experience
Having dealt with a major life event myself, I know what you are going through. I lend you an experienced, listening ear, as well as appropriate counselling, advice and practical tips that will help you free your mind and give you strength.
You can find my experiences as ‘spouse of’ in my book ‘Alles Mens‘. Read about this book and what ‘connection’ has meant for us.
You don’t have to go through it alone, we will get through this together.
Together, we will get through this.
Together, we will look at what is needed for you to keep going, so that you can cope with everything that comes your way and get your life back on track, as soon as your situation allows for this.
Together, we will make sure that you:
get through that first acute phase;
will keep the focus required for this;
can be there for your partner/family and also for yourself;
regain your own strength and that you become aware of this strength;
find rays of hope;
you can examine the Why? question, should that present itself;
gradually get your life back on track along the journey;
restore your trust in life;
find a way to manage a job (if applicable) that is appropriate to the situation;
find answers to potential bigger life questions, such as:
– what is really important in life to me?
– what gives me energy?
– how does my work (if applicable) fit in?

Alles Mens
Als kanker je partner treft, van Over leven naar Voor leven
A book about the journey my husband and I found ourselves on from the moment he got the inoperable and untreatable cancer diagnosis, to how this, thankfully, took a different turn. In this book, I look back from the ‘here and now’. The impact on our lives was tremendous and is still felt at times.
We have come to understand how strong the power of connection, of hope and of not giving up can be. Many have since been touched by our journey that I describe in the book. This book will help you embrace life to the fullest.
